Empik.com | UX Project Manager

I spent 2 years at Empik managing IT projects in the UX department. The experience gained there allowed me to develop in the field of website design, online sales management, as well as running projects that require specialist IT knowledge. Throughout the period of work in this place, I did a lot of small and larger projects, thanks to which I felt a passion for technology and saw the potential in online business. Below is an example of some of the issues I dealt with.

70 years of Empik

I had the opportunity to participate in this extraordinary event, being responsible for the preparation of the website, which was to present the most important periods of the company’s history on an interactive timeline. All the works made a very nice experience, and the competition placed on the website only added sophistication and encouraged to visit it.

Agile

At Empik, I learned what Agile is, i.e. agile project management. It is a methodology that companies can use to save a lot of money, streamline processes and make employees more satisfied with what they do. The benefits are plentiful, but no one says it’s easy to bring it to your organization.

Empik Bestsellers

Probably everyone (in Poland) has heard about the annual Empik gala, where awards are given to the most popular artists and creators in a given calendar year. During my stay at Empik, I ran a project related to setting up a Landing Page dedicated to this event.

Empik Libraries

Empik libraries, otherwise known as 1000 reasons to read, is a project run at Empik every year in September. Its goal is to popularize reading books among children and teenagers, and also among adults.

I had the opportunity to co-create this project twice, being responsible for issues related to the design of the website, as well as mechanisms for voting in competitions.

UX Development

Due to the fact that I worked in the UX department, I had to deal with the best specialists in their field. Thanks to this, I was able to draw knowledge from them, which now allows me to see strengths and weaknesses in each project. I always try to put the needs of users first, even if the client thinks otherwise 🙂
